Alternate route to avoid train crossing. From I-77 or I-85 take the NC16 or Brookshire Freeway East exit. Take the Graham Street exit. Turn right on Graham Street, which is the first light. Turn left on to Statesville Ave. at the light. Follow Statesville Ave. to Callahan St. and turn left. Turn left at Polk St. then right on Hamilton St. Follow Hamilton over the Interstate and the North Carolina Music Factory will be on your left.
The new road (Seaboard Street Extension) is going to be 4 lanes coming off Graham Street just a few hundred yards from the I-277 on/off ramp. The Seaboard Street extension will have duel rights out onto Graham Street and a dedicated left into Seaboard Street with a full stop light at the Graham/Seaboard Street intersection. In addition the 4 lanes will be split apart in the beginning, like the entrance to the Peninsula and the entrance into Disney World, and have signage in the middle identifying the "Uptown Village" and "NC Music Factory".
